Post Turkey Day Post
I've been such a bad blogger! It's just that I've been very busy with tests as of late and then I got sick for a weekend. Now Thanksgiving's through so we're into the Christmas season. Isn't that crazy?! I swear, if time passes faster as you get older, I'm scared for when I get older than what I am now! That's all I've got for now since I'm feeling kind of sick again. Adios! Don't eat too much turkey.

Checking In
I've been so bad about posting! Marching band is officially over now so I'll have more time, I promise! Adios! Make time for things.

American History
I'm sorry but US history bores me to death. I'm half-way listening to a podcast right now that I should be taking notes on...but I'm not. Oh well. Adios! Headphones should always be kept on hand.

Guitar
Learning guitar= ouch! I'm self teaching and I can't say it's going that well but at least I'm making some progress! I just spent the last hour trying to learn something and discovered this very helpful little video to learn Remembering Sunday by All Time Low. In short, I freaking love that song! But I can feel the indentation of the strings in my fingers...Oh well. Adios! Listen to the song. Do it.

Somedays...
Growing up isn't all it's cracked up to be. I love all the independence now of being able to drive myself places but school is just, egh. Too much drama now that people keep trying to drag me into. I don't want to be a part of any drama!! Leave me out of it! Someone was telling me something about another person not long ago and I seriously sat there fuming to myself for at least ten minutes after they told me because they got me involved in the whole situation I would've been fine not knowing, and it wasn't even a situation any of us could do anything about! Gaah. People. I need to go look up fun pictures. Adios! Don't start nothing you can't end.
(I found a fun picture)

Intensely Tired
Wow, this week has been really bad in the blogging department. I've just been so busy with marching and tired when I get home. Everyday I've been all "I should blog!" but then I see how far away the computer is and I decide I just can't. So yeah, I'm incredibly tired so I think I'll stop. Adios! Bring hot hands. Just do it.

American History
I'm sorry, but American history is intensely boring. I understand that as an American citizen I should know all these things but frankly, I just don't give a flying crap! Some of it's interesting, don't get me wrong. And I'm sure there are plenty of people out there who think American history is the greatest thing since sliced bread and could watch all the Revolutionary War documentaries they could get their hands on. Good for them. I'm, sadly, not one of those people. Adios! Don't clench your jaw, it hurts.

Sleep Deprived
I think my caffeine tolerance is going down. I've never really had a problem of drinking soda too close to going to bed and being able to go to sleep. But recently, I've been drinking sodas after band or with dinner when we go out to eat and I'll find myself laying in bed cursing the stuff. I'm a little scared for tonight since I had one with dinner earlier. Oh well, I don't need sleep! Except I do... Adios! Use the flip side of your pillow to your advantage.

Cold!
When did it get so cold?! Last night we had a band competition and I'm fairly sure my core temperature has been lowered. We had to stay outside all day and since we made the finals competition, we got to stay out most of the night, too! Yeah, I wasn't expecting us to make finals so I said no when my mom asked if I'd like a blanket. I should've taken the blanket. Ah well, I don't need to be able to feel my hands or feet. Stay warm! Adios! Accept blankets.
(I felt like a picture of ice giraffes would be appropriate)

Crazy Game
Man, that Cards and Braves game!! I was listening to the craziness in the car with my friends coming back from a movie. Throwing crap on the field over a call? I'd be ticked off too but I wouldn't decide to throw my shoes at the players! They were saying that there was a large object thrown onto the field and I was seriously hoping it would be a sombrero. "There's a sombrero in play!" I'll admit, I'm a Cardinals fan all the way. Not a hardcore baseball fan really but when it comes down to it, I'm a Cards fan! Adios! Keep your trash to yourself everyone.

Fall
Fall is my favorite season, it really is. The smell of fall is just one of the best smells ever. If I could get a perfume that smelled like fall I would totally wear it! I just want it to smell like that all year. But then again, it wouldn't be special then if it smelled like that all the time. Gosh, I need to start writing actual things on here. Adios! Face Off, watch it!

These Are So Boring
Good gravy do I hate it when I get logged out of something. But then it just makes my day ten times better when I go to re log in and realize that I've saved my password and everything for the site so I can just pop on in without any useless typing. Yup, Blogger decided to switch me to some account I don't actually have but oh ho, I have my password saved on this computer! Get at me, internet! I need to go to bed. Adios and good night! Don't type tired.

Learning
It's been decided, I'm going to attempt to learn to play guitar. We've had this old one sitting around our house forever and I've always thought it would be super cool to learn. We'll see how this goes since I intend on learning internet style. Won't be easy but will certainly be interesting! Adios! Tan lines, be careful of them.

Short
My hair is up in a really high bun from marching. I feel like one of those girls that wears really high buns. This is strange... Adios! Keep hair ties on hand, you never know when one might snap.

The Art of the Hug
I'll admit it. I am an awkward hugger. I feel like everyone took some kind of hugging etiquette class that I was in the bathroom for. I'm getting better at hugging since apparently the girls my age like to hug each other in greeting (seriously, home coming was hug crazy!) I just never know which way we're going, if it's gonna be a one armed or two armed kind, what you do when you're sitting and the other person standing tries to hug you. Don't get me started on when people do the one armed extension so you can't tell if they want a hug or a handshake. We need to just announce these kinds of things!! My name is Nicole and I am going to give you a hug now. How about that, it'll be a thing.
I've got some new plans! So, I've got a fun camera and a fun editing program so I think I'm going to start vlogging. I might tonight if my parents go upstairs since I don't want them to think I'm going insane sitting in my room talking to no one. I'm also going to be playing a flute piece for a composer friend of mine so once that's up, I'll link to it here. Yeah, I play flute. Don't you? Adios! It's hard to type with tape on your fingers.

Annoyance
You know what I'm not a fan of? Google+! I'm trying to do Youtube stuff and it's all 'No! Sign up with me pleeeaaase!' Yeah, no. If I wanted to sign up with Google+, I would sign up with me! Don't make me sign up with this sight just because. Sigh. Adios! Read the fine print.

Busy
Homecoming weekend= super duper busy! Got a parade in the morning, dance tomorrow, all kinds of fun stuff! Not sure I'll blog much till Sunday afternoon. Adios! Be honest.

Procrastinating
Okay, it's official. I seriously hate the book The Wordy Shipmates by Sarah Vowell. At first I was kind of like, oh yeah, she has an interesting way of writing. I like this! Yeah, how I naive I was back then. Now that I have to do a book analysis on it and find her thesis, I'm not too keen on this book anymore. Well, I wasn't keen on reading about Puritans and her random tangents about Kennedy in the first place but whatever. I'm really just procrastinating right here because I don't want to write this thing. The paper is sitting right next to me staring me down. Gah, I need to since it's due Friday. And my parents have their movie turned up really loud in the other room so I won't be sleeping. Sigh. Adios! Tissues are essential to success.

Excuse for Delicious
I wanted to do a page in my Wreck This Journal this evening so I flipped it open. One of the first ones is something along the lines of fling thy coffee here. I'm not a fan of coffee so I decided to make a butterbeer latte instead for flinging. They're delicious, what can I say.
I feel like I've mentioned my latte before. Oh well, if you didn't read that one, it's made with milk, cinnamon, butter, and brown sugar all boil and melted together into deliciousness. I believe I have a link to the actual recipe on here somewhere, I certainly did not make this up myself!
Those splatters were my doing, however. There are more but I couldn't get them in the shot. Ah well, alls well that ends well. Adios! Netbook keyboards and laptop keyboards are not good for the fingers.

I am going to be so sore tomorrow from golf! Oh jeez, tonight was long and very cold. Thank you cold front! Adios. Always bring the jacket.

September 11
This is how I spent my evening, coloring this and watching Face Off. Anyway, today I heard what I'd say is the most moving 9/11 talks in class out of all the 9/11 things we've ever done. I'm not saying that it isn't important to remember this day, because I truly believe we do need to honor the memory of all those people who died in the attacks. But, in the classes I've had recently, we've either a) briefly mentioned the subject and gone about our business or b) watched the same old same old clips we've seen the past ten years. That doesn't inspire much emotion aside from annoyance into most students which I think should not be the reaction!!
This was different, though. My history teacher spent most of the class today talking about his cousin's experience getting out of the tower. I'm not going to go into anymore detail than that. The way he told it though, I got a sense of what it was really like for the victims for the first time. The only thing I really remember about 9/11, having been five at the time, was watching some of the footage on TV and wondering why we were watching he same show over and over again. Needless to say, it didn't have a big impact on me. But my heart really does go out to everyone that lost loved ones to the towers. Two morose posts in a row, eesh. Adios! Count thy blessings.

Suicide Prevention Day
I forgot my yellow today! If you didn't know, today is Suicide Prevention Day. I felt this was a worthy cause to support since there are so many people each year that takes their lives so early. It really makes me sad, seeing and hearing about these people, because they had so much life left to live! And they leave behind just leave behind so many people! Please, if you're considering suicide, get. some. help! I know that writing love on my arm and wearing a certain color isn't going to make a huge difference in the scheme of things, but I at least hope there are some people helped today. Adios! Pens, they're useful indeed.

Come On Fall
I love fall. Fall's always been my favorite season! The changing leaves, bon fires, football games, sweatshirts, all that jazz. This weekend has been just like fall and it's been amazing. Tomorrow's supposed to be back in the eighties though. :P Grr, let's be done with this hot weather! It's been hot for waaaaaay too long now! I hope we get some nice temperatures back. Adios! Computer screens: careful of them.

Lunch Post
Eating and writing, two of my favorite past times shoved together to make this post today. I'm not eating anything too glamorous in case you were wondering. Just some pasta with meat that tastes kind of weird after being reheated.
There I am! Right in the middle of eating some of that nasty beef. Oh well, I'll eat it anyway. I think being in band and golf at the same time has increases my food intake abilities. I'm generally up for eating at any given moment, but lately I've felt hungrier more consistently. And on top of all this, none of my pants fit anymore! They're long enough and fit great in the legs but are way too loose up top. I feel like I'm saggin' all the time (for real, who do guys do that?! I feel like my pants might fall off at any given moment!) I'm going to get back to eating now. Adios! Waft, don't sniff.

Sugar High
Good gosh I am not getting to sleep tonight. I had a giant soda coming back from our golf match today (it was a super rough match, I needed me some Dr. Pepper) then my dad brought me another and a giant Milkway when he picked me up!! I learned last time too much Dr. Pepper on the way home would keep me up till about midnight. Can't wait to find out how late I'll be up tonight! I bet you don't really care so here's a kitty picture. Adios! Hills, avoid them if at all possible.

Excuse My Errors
What up late night post? Ha ha, it's not really that late. It's just late for me since I have to get up early all the freakin' time for this school thing which means I must go to bed early. Midnight is friggin late. I'm gonna be awake so long tomorrow night it isn't even funny. But, seeing as it is only half past midnight-ish, I'm going to count this post as a September 2 post no matter what the time stamp tries to say!
Here in the ever lovely mid-west we've been getting some spin off action from Isaac down south. Now, I've got nothing against a little rain up in here (I really need to not type when I'm tired...) but this is just making my allergies flare up way too much. I've been hacking up grossness the past three days. Who wants to hack up grossness?! There is just way too much pollen in the air right now. Curse my allergies!! I need to go to bed soonish. Adios! Talking dolls, even if they are battery operated, are creepy and shouldn't be trusted.

Fidgety
I entered a writing contest today and I don't think I've ever been so nervous. Waiting for my submission to come up has literally given me hot flashes all evening. I'm still a little convinced that it didn't get entered right since I didn't get the notification that it had been accepted. Le sigh. Adios! Drink lots of water.

I really have mixed emotions about Thursdays. Sometimes I like them, sometimes I don't. I wish I could make up my mind. Adios! Calendars are helpful.

Ally Cat
My cat likes to sit and blog with me sometimes. I'm presently sitting in "her chair," though I'd like to thinks it's mine. Yes, that would be my father there in the background. Just realized I got him into the picture. Oh well. Ally just wanted to say hello. Adios! The 'b' key is essential.

Isn't This Beautiful?
Just saying, I'm in love with this painting right now. It's L'etoile by Edgar Degas if you don't know it. I was just looking for a painting to do for an art project and found this. I don't know if I'd be able to do it well (my painting isn't all that superb) but I'd sure love to try! We may have too much Degas up already though...oh well. Enjoy! Adios. Lotion is lovely.

Post Birthday Post!
Guess who's blonde, loves cake, and now 16!! That's right, this girl! Yesterday was my 16th birthday. Sorry that I didn't get a chance to blog, I was busy parying it up. xD Well, kind of. We went and stayed at a hotel and did fun things in the city. Overall, I had a fantastic time. I think the coolest thing about birthdays is that it's just a random day in the year, like every other day really, but you can remember almost everything you've done on that day every year since you can remember things. How many days can you say that about other than some holidays? Magical. Adios! Paper is not for digesting.

Loooong Day
I think I'm getting a sty. :( Stupid genetics giving me tendencies to get them! It probably didn't help that I was just marching around in the dust and stuff. Whatevs. Adios! Floss.

Have You Ever Noticed This?
Who in the world actually rises off the nozzle of the whipped cream bottle in warm water? I don't think I've ever seen these instructions before! That is my cat in the background there staring at me. She's probably sitting there going, "freaky humans, taking pictures of whipped cream bottles and such." Silly Ally. Adios! Follow instructions, unless they're stupid instructions.

Why Do We Use Titles?
Glargh, I missed another day! Golf and band are sucking away my life, and it hasn't even been a full week of school yet!! D: I thought I'd share with you the blog of an amazing artist. Her name is Burdge. Well, it's not Burdge but I feel like I might spell her real name wrong so I'll just give you the link. SO GO HERE! Adois! Carry band aids.

Saturday Afternoon Bordeom
I discovered the fun of crayon art today! Just a warning, this is not the project for a perfectionist. It was hard to keep the wax from drifting into another color without leaving too thin a layer of wax. The way I did it was I hot glued all those crayons to a piece of cardboard covered in a white piece of paper (we had no canvas but that would work as well.)
I did it in our sink to eliminate mess, though I did end up splattering the window, plant, faucet, and counter in the process. We used our hair dryer as you see there in the picture above to melt the crayons. It took me about forty minutes I believe. Try it out sometime, you'll thank me. Adios! Newspaper is your best friend.

Oh Goodness
My chemistry teacher this year, I kid you not, sounds just like Marcel the Shell. The first day when we were watching this video she made I sat there wondering who she sounded like. When it hit me, I seriously had to put a hand over my mouth to hide my laughter. So when you watch this, imagine a chemistry teacher voicing the shell. (: Adios! Don't judge a cover by its book.

Masks
Because it is a Thursday and I am veeeeeery busy on Thursdays, I think I may just give you this piece of advice. I you ever wish to buy a cool mask from a store such as Earthbound, do not buy the first mask on the stick or shelf. That's the one that has been on every persons face that has walked past it. Adios! Follow my advice. Do it.

I'm a firm believer that Pinterest is one of the best things that has ever happened to the internet. Ever. It's just not possible to go on there and not find something completely amazing that blows your mind. Just in the few months I've been on there I've gotten so many fun recipes to try out! Ah, I need to go to bed. Adios! Get on Pinterest, do iiiiit!

Last Nigh of Freedom
So here we are. It's ten o'clock(ish) and tomorrow morning I'll be getting up for my first day as a high school Sophomore. Yay. -_- Why is it that summer has to go by so quickly? I need to become less busy or build a time machine a la Phineas and Ferb style. Yes I watch Phineas and Ferb, it's my fall back. When all else fails check Disney channel! That's about the only decent thing on there now.
Anywho, I probably oughta get to bed what with this whole having to get up early thing starting again. Wish me luck!! Adios. Paper is dangerous.

Goody Bye Olympics
I'm just sitting here watching closing ceremonies wondering what in the world I'm going to watch from now on! For the past 17 days, not even exaggeration here, I think I changed the channel off the Olympics about three times when there was an event going on. And somehow I missed the rhythmic gymnastics!
How could I miss that?! Anyway, I'm really enjoying the people in the hats with the light bulbs on them. I think I might get me one of those hats when I go shopping tomorrow. ;) Adios! Don't sit too close to your TV, you'll fry your eyes out.

Procrastination
I'm trying really hard to get this summer reading essay done right now but it's not exactly working. I didn't get a chance to blog yesterday thanks to my sister's going to Europe party and it's rude to blog with company over. (: One of my good friends came over to hang out with me since once of the party's attendants were much older than me. She showed me this lovely video I thought I'd share with you. Adios! Puppy chow is not for puppies...usually.

Tojo Has Returned!
The ghost of my house made an appearance again today! I got on the computer upstairs not long after I got up. I heard what I thought was my dad walking down the hallway leading from their hallway into the living room, where I was. So I waited a while to say good morning but he never came out. I didn't want to go walk in on him in his room so I went outside to check in our garage and found his car was gone. My mom and sister were at my grandparents house this morning so I was home alone.
To the skeptics out there that will say I was hearing things, I could see my cat sitting at the mouth of the hallway and she was watching someone down there herself. I don't know what prompted this event since nothing usually happens until we work on the house. I'll post again if anything else happens, perhaps the story of all that's happened will come tomorrow. Adios! Watch your back.

Isn't this fun? I thought it was appropriate after golf try out's today. Whether I make it or not, I know that I did well today and I'll be fine! ;) Hope this makes yours day. Adios! Whales are majestical creatures.

Big Bang Theory Win
If I had access to a lazer grid I would totally do this and I'm fairly certain my friends would join me. Well, some of them. Others would probably come to watch/laugh at us. Whatever, it would be awesome! Adios! Hairspray: bad for the ozone, good for spies.

Not much to say today really. Tomorrow I think I'll give you a picture of the new shoes I got because I LOVE THEM. Not even joking. Adios! Ideas are hard.

Worn Out
I'm so tired right now I'm incredibly surprised I'm even still awake. All I have to say is you need to look up Kid History on YouTube pronto and watch every single video of theirs. You'll thank me later. Adios! Beware the small crevices of your laptop for they may bear crumbs.

It's My Happy Month!
Happy August everyone! Hope you're enjoying the Olympics and last few weeks of freedom if you're a student. Two weeks till school starts for me...yay. It's also the start of my birthday month or rather, my happy month as it's called in my family. Go Virgo's! Adios! Don't get a clock with a big snooze button.

Complaints of a Youngest Child
You know, I really am down with this whole being the younger sister thing. There's a big enough gap between me and my older sister that I've never had to go through all the fighting and siblingy stuff. By the time I was in second grade she was heading off to college. I got all her old toys (which I thought were awesome), got to hang around her cool older friends when she was at home (even though she hardly ever liked having me there), and when it came time for hand me downs I was too big to fit into a lot of her old clothes (what can I say, I was in the 90 percentile for height for a long time!) Heck, even my spot at the dinner table is pretty nice!
However, the one thing that I've never appreciated is the car hierarchy. Whenever my mom, sister, and I ever go anywhere she's the one that gets the front seat and I'm demoted to the back. Of course,w when my comes along Mom takes the front seat and we both are in the back. The point is, there's no shot gun to be called. It's just car law. I don't mind being in the back seat. To tell the truth I spend most time in the car totally zoned out looking out the window. But I, being still a month away from license age, have spent the most time with my butt in that front seat. I believe I have a claim to that seat. Though I'm sure my sister could always counter with the, "Well, I was sitting in the front seat before you were born!" True, but not in this car car you haven't. Any other youngest children out there agree? I'm off to go watch more Olympics. Adios! Pens are for writing, not for noses.

Opening Ceremonies...
Was I the only one very confused by certain parts of the Opening Ceremonies last night? I mean, they were awesome and everything but I sat there with my family going, "What in the world is going on here?!" I really liked the choreography for the lords walking around looking at the smoke stacks rising up during the industrial revolution part. There was one lord that was incredibly bendy! When they leaned back to look up at one of the stacks he was practically doing a back bend! I guess that's what happens when you get stuck in the back of the pack.
And then they brought out Lord Voldemort. Beijing had awesomely choreographed drummers and stuff. London had Voldemort fighting Mary Poppins. Not to say that a 100 foot tall Voldemort isn't impressive but for the opening ceremonies? And the creepy baby at the end of the dreams part?! I liked that the NBC commentators even said something about that being creepy. I want one of those light up blankets they had on the beds. Who needs a bedside lamp, I have a light up blanket!
Overall, we had fun watching the opening ceremonies last night. Greatly enjoyed Hey Jude, though I thought Paul McCartney should've done a royalty only verse. Just saying. So far today I've watched table tennis, soccer/football (why do we call it soccer when everyone else in the world calls it football?), archery, badmiton, a little basketball, and two types of volleyball so I think today has been a fairly successful viewing day so far. Have I ever mentioned how much I love the Olympics? Adios! Remotes should never be more than three feet away from you.

I'm sorry, I had to. (:

Olympics!!
Guess who's freaking stoked for opening ceremonies tonight! I love the Olympics so much, I really do. I had a dream last night that I go to go to London to see them but somehow ended up waitressing (badly) at some random restaurant. Go figure. Anywho, I wanted to make some kind of fun desserty things to celebrate but seeing as we have no ingredients/I couldn't eat them easily I abandoned that idea. Perhaps I'll have a closing ceremonies party. At any rate here is a picture of something I was hoping to make. Enjoy and adios! Always plan ahead.
I Feel So Whiny Lately
You know what's sad? When you have an incredibly fantastic dinner but you start to feel sick right before the food is served. As you might already know if you've read my past entries, I recently had four wisdom teeth surgically removed from my head. I'm on some meds for swelling and infection fighting and stuff and they don't seem to be agreeing with my system today (trust me, it got pretty ugly there this afternoon.) I thought I was done feeling all gross but then dinner rolled around. My mom made this twice baked potato casserole....
I'm sorry but the fangirl inside me had to make an appearance. She's back in the cardboard box in my soul where she stays most of the time. Anywho, we had the twice baked potato casserole which is basically starch heaven. Not even joking. To go along with that we had watermelon, which I sadly couldn't eat, blue jello, and tuna cakes. As far as dinners go, that is one of the best ones I can ever imagine! To top it all off, my mom made me chocolate pudding in these fancy dishes, topped it with whipped cream, and put a fancy cut up strawberry as a little garnish! Not going to lie, my mom ate all of her pudding stuff in the time it took me to eat my strawberry. Chewing is freaking hard.
Moral of the story is to not let your parents make you fantastic foods when you feel very much like puking all over them. Don't get me wrong, I had seconds on just about everything but felt strangely dizzy through the whole meal. A word to the wise: don't let yourself grow wisdom teeth! Adios! Use your spoons every so often so they don't feel left out.

Coloring Is My Favorite
I'm really in the mood to color right now. It could be because I just had this super long conversation with a friend focusing on coloring books and movies and such. But nonetheless, I am in total need of a coloring book. I wish I had had the sense to save a few pages when I was little to color in once I got older! Not to say the things I created weren't total master pieces worthy of being colored on (even if they were a tad outside the lines) but a little foresight would've been handy for situations like now. Poor, naive little me.
Because I don't have any paper/coloring books handy and I'm too lazy to go get any drawing instruments I decided to stick to a tried and true method of digital coloring!

That's right folks! You're looking at a Nicole original. There's a big age gap between my sister and I so when I was little and hyper she was a high schooler and annoyed by me. When I would be bugging her she would open a paint document, swirl a black line across the page, hit the fill bucket tool, and let me have at it. It took me a little longer to complete the pictures back in those days but I had tons and tons of fun coloring it! You remember that next time you have a toddler breathing down your neck wanting some form of entertainment. Oh, and don't forget to answer my poll I put up over on the right hand side of your screen. Adios! Don't let toddlers breathe down your neck. That's creepy.

Ouch
I feel like such a shlub. I've had on pajamas for the past two days straight and will probably continue to do so for the rest of the week. Getting your wisdom teeth out sucks! I woke up this morning and my face is all swollen. And I'm finding this whole don't talk too much thing really hard. I have so many things to say! I also decided yesterday when my lower half of my face was numb that I wouldn't make a very good mute. My hand signalling is way out of practice. I've expended most of my day's energy writing this so I'll be going. Adios! Keyboards have many uses if you're creative.

Internet Shopping Sucks
Backpack shopping online is so hard! I see a backpack and I go "Oh, you're pretty!" but I can't tell from the picture if I'll be able to jam all the crap in there that needs to be jammed! And none of the ones I'm seeing are really speaking to me. It has to feel right in my soul. I mean this:
is a serious contender right now. But then it annoys me when I see people walking around with the really tiny backpacks thinking they're so cool that they have the ninja turtles on their back. Don't get me wrong, I love me some ninja turtles but not when they're impractically sized. I believe your backpack directly reflects who you are. If your backpack is a ripped up piece of crap then, well, make your own assumptions and I'll make mine. But I don't take backpack shopping lightly. Ah well, seems I'll be browsing the picked over Target back to school section once my mouth heals up. Adios! Don't remove your eyes from the clock when it's approaching 11:11.

I've Got Butterflies
I can't promise a post tomorrow because, unfortunately, I have some oral surgery planned. That's right, my wisdom teeth are getting popped out! Not popped out so much as brutally sliced out I guess but that's irrelevant. I'm actually super nervous about tomorrow. I've never had any surgery of any kind though I've been reassured it'll be fine time and time again. It's not that I'm worried something will go wrong (I have some faith in my oral surgeon) as much as I'm apprehensive about suddenly waking up with my face all swollen. Yay. I'll see if I can post something at midnight so it counts for tomorrow. In the mean time I'm going to go stew about my impending doom some more. Here's a picture of a kitten for you to look at in compensation for the time you spent reading this. Adios! Hope for no wisdom teeth as hard as you can.

Brave Times Two
I decided that I want a cool accent. This whole mid-western non-accent thing is getting kind of old. And I don't want a southern accent, I want something awesome. My best friend and I went to see Brave today, despite the fact that I've seen it once already, and that just reaffirmed my desire for a cooler accent. We were practicing our Scottish, it wasn't pretty! Did you know that they hide the Pizza Planet truck in most Pixar movies?
Yup, right there behind the candle thing. Just found that out today! Hoped I enlightened you a little bit. Adios! Simple sentences are boring. Don't use them.
I Saw the Dark Knight Rise!
Crap! Three minutes late! Oh well, I'll write two today. I got back a few minutes ago from seeing the Dark Knight Rises. I feel like I need to go watch the other movies over again because I was just sitting there going, "Woah...am I supposed to know who you are and why you're relevant? Stop talking so fast!" And I want to know how much damage has been done to Christian Bale's vocal chords! I know he's got to keep up the whole secret identity thing but he doesn't have to sound like a demon all the time. I wouldn't have minded if he'd switched to a soprano every once in a while. Just saying.
And Anne Hathaway? How much good do you think that little eye mask thing is doing in preserving your identity? "Oh, your temples are covered! I can't tell who you are at all!" Seriously. But I did appreciate how her goggles flipped up to make her cat ears. All in all I liked it. Not my favorite movie in the world or anything but I didn't hate it like so many others seem to. But that's just me and I'm not a massive Batman fan. Adios! No capes.

Food For Thought
I feel like life would be a whole lot easier if everyone just said what they thought. Like, someone could go up to another person and say, “You really get on my nerves.” And the other person would go, “Oh yeah, I was wondering about that the other day when you were glaring at me each time I said something.” And they’d both go about their day because that would be the social norm and you can’t please everyone. I think society would get on a lot better knowing what terms they were on with other people, less stress. Or there would be a heck of a lot more fights… Adios! Watch out for bats wearing capes.

It's So Mystical
Is that not fantastically pretty? That was a shot I took while on vacation in Gulf Shores earlier this month. And notice the 'x' in the clouds. Crazy, huh? It's a sign! There must be treasure buried down below it in the water somewhere! If only I'd seen that while taking the picture. Adios! Scarves are multi-functional.

Bring The Rain
Please, rain gods! Be merciful and bring us mid westerners some serious rain! All this yellow grass is seriously bumming me out. And my riding lesson tomorrow is going to be freaking hot. So please, if you could, spare us a little rain. I'll do a rain dance if that's what it takes! Adios! Don't discount the existence of the rain gods.

Movie Excitement
What is up with the exciting movie news lately? First I hear about the new Monsters Inc. movie coming out next year. Not gonna to lie, I had a major freak out when I heard the news. Then I see the trailer for it going to see Brave and a trailer for Wreck it Ralph which looks freaking amazing. Now I hear that they're making a second Finding Nemo and a fourth Toy Story! It's like Disney and Pixar are resurrecting my childhood right now!
Anyway, I've got a "fun" band music run through thing tonight. Yes, I am in band. Second chair flute player right here! With marching season coming up we obviously have to start practicing at least six weeks before school starts. You know, that's the only logical. -_- What? Bitter, me? Not at all. Adios! YouTube is your friend.

A Quick Lesson
To any French leaners out there here is one of the study sheets I made during finals last year. What can I say, I learn better in pictures. Hope you like it. Adios! The smelly markers, no matter the color, are always best.

Cooking with Kaley
I believe the best friends are the ones who bring you food without asking if you wanted food to begin with. My best friend Kaley comes over to my house today bearing a TYE DYE cupcake and a giant Dr. Pepper/Cherry slushie thing. I'd put up pictures but I kind of ate both before I got a chance to. (: But the cupcake was seriously impressive
It looked a little something like this only with blue icing (if you'd like to see the Pinterest page I got the pictures off of click here.) And considering it was Kaley who made it I was seriously impressed. She and I have not had the best of luck in our cooking endeavors. The first time we tried to make cupcakes we ended up putting soupy cake mix into the oven, waiting about five minutes, then having someone come by and suggest we just make cookies instead. The first time we made cookies solo I might've forgotten a cup of flour. Needless to say we ended up with the gosh darn best tasting cookie crackers this world has ever known! Since then we've had more cooking luck but not by much. Adios dear reader! Read directions with much care.

Early Start I Guess
Good morning internet! I hope you slept well. I'm actually up incredibly early given how I usually sleep in till around eleven-ish. Weird. I'm going to a wedding today, wearing a dress to said wedding, should be interesting. I just do not enjoy wearing dresses! There are so many things you can't do in them as opposed to wearing pants! Not to mention the strange breezes you get. I guess I'm just more of a jeans and T-shirt kind of girl.
Moving on, I found an incredibly helpful video that I thought I'd share last night. Spoiler alert, it blew my mind. I hope you like it and come away feeling like you've learned something. Adios! Checks are to be cashed or paid. Think about it.

First Post Yeah!
Well, I've finally decided to do it. I'm a starting a daily blog where I can come and...blog things daily. Or as close to daily as I can get with my busy schedule. It's just that during the school year I feel like I set writing way down as a priority and I want something that will keep me writing. I'm no stranger to blogging, I've had another one for a long time, but I just don't have the will to update it that much. Hopefully this will give me a little more gusto!
Anywho, for my first post I'll give you ten things about me to ponder until tomorrow. I promise I'll have something more interesting to read next time!
